“ Fantastic stay and amazing Pan Asian Cuisine. The restaurant was beautifully laid out fresh white table cloths and sparkling cutlery. The manager was so friendly and helpful with good energy. The staff were also a delight. Thankyou to you all. The locals in the pub were so welcoming will definitely recommend this venue to everyone. It’s a shame ‘Jason’ didn’t give a true reflection and fake reviews are left! Thankyou George & Horn ”
“ We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and the vegan burgers had sold out. The chef then offered various off-menu options he was happy to make for my veggie wife. The food was great (my chicken burger was delicious and pulled chicken really) and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. ”
“ New ownership Amazing homemade food highly recommend the curries! Also delicious Sunday roast! Locals are very welcoming Very well kept Ale! ”
“ Had an amazing Sunday lunch here after a 4 mile walk around the Downs. The perfect roast for my partner and a delicious mixed vegetable soup for me. Top marks accompanied with the best service. Great, friendly staff. I would definitely return. ”
“ Lovely pub, food is lovely, and if you like a spicy curry, the Sri Lankan food is brilliant. Rooms are kitted out with basic bits and pieces, and beds were comfy. Breakfast was good, hot breakfast only. Good WiFi too, easy to work from the pub when on the go. ”
“ Was such a beautiful serene place. Really enjoyed my stay in May/June 2024. Will recommend George and Horn anytime. ”
“ New managers were very helpful. Allowed us to check in early. Location was perfect for our requirements and the room did the job. ”
“ Stayed here randomly for a weekend meeting family. Rooms are not luxurious however, they have everything you require with a decent shower, comfortable bed, amenities along with being toasty. The service from all members of staff were top notch and really couldn’t do enough for us the whole weekend. Special shout out to Karen for going above and beyond. Above all it was a really friendly village pub with plenty of locals who made you feel very welcome too. Will revisit. ”
